| Why do you want to be a node? | I believe that this network could play a very important role in the future particularly as Quantum computers become more advanced. I would like to be a part of that. I also enjoy the challenge of taking on these tasks that are outside of my core day to day. And if there can be some reward then that is always a plus ! Outside of that I believe in David Chaums vision for the future. Privacy is important. |

| What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? | As mentioned before - blockchain is a part of the future. For me the best and safest way is distributed system and not centralised. This is much less likely to be taken down. Quantum computes will be able to break current encryptions and so it becomes increasingly important to be able to resist that and XX platform is a fore-runner in this space. |

That means distributed is inherently stronger. I believe de-centralisation is the way forward |
| As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. | It is completely private - not just encrypted for content but also for the metadata. It is the only blockchain that is quantum resistant. |

Whilst this may not appear to be a problem to most people - this data can be used for ill purposes and control. Those who have lived in countries with restrictive regimes and lack of freedom get it. Privacy by default is the best approach to protect from tyrants and maintain freedom. |

Why datacenter?

Is there a reason not to use a datacentre for XX network? The other nodes I run are run this way.
Best to plan to host node at home on fast connection, and plan for gateway to be in VPS, not both in VPS

Heh Robbie 84. Thanks for your comment. Somehow it defaulted back to USA - It should be UK. That is an error. Not sure if I can edit it now. Germany is a good and less expensive VPS services.
Does Contabo even offer plans with a GPU? Running a node in a dc not favourable for the network.
It does. I have now looked into some hardware for the Node and would use VPS for the gateway.
