Are you an active member of those communities? Yes
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? The videos and white papers are just the tip of the iceberg, the application for voting and payments are really exciting and to think of the positive that would come out of this, especially for voting and protecting ones privacy is exceptional.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? no
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? no
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:

As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. Yes, node set-up and onboarding review vlog post would be interesting to be part of or even a bi weekly twitter update sounds great.
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? In a decentralized network, there is no singular controlling entity, there is no one central owner. Nodes are independent of each other and are equal. The output of this type of network is the aggregation of the individual nodes in the network, in other words, the system behavior is the aggregate response. A distributed network means that the processing is shared across multiple nodes, but the decisions may still be centralized or at multiple points. The main difference comes down to where the decision is made and how the distribution of the decision is sent across various nodes in the system. When compared to each other I prefer a decentralized system.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The value proposition lays in having proven technology that can tackle the challenges and concerns associated with both speed and security/privacy. This value provides tremendous opportunity in the market when seeing the incredible amount of centralized systems in existence that are counter to what xx network offers.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? People should not be misled or deceived into sharing or having their activity tracked by any entity public or private. Unfortunately this is exactly what happens everyday on most platform people use. I believe it is time to neutralize this capability or at least drastically reduce these practices through a decentralized approach proposed by David Chaum and the xx network.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? From what I have read, quantum computers are a real threat to encryption systems and have the capabilities to render many of today’s most sophisticated systems useless - making the need for quantum-safe encryption a priority.
