Why do you want to be a node? When introduced to the project and after researching it, there is nothing like it. The goal of the privacy and meta data issues they are trying to address is intriguing and one that needs a resolution. That being said, I believe that this project will attain their goals and I would like to really be a part of this and its successes.

Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Twitter
  • Telegram
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
Are you an active member of those communities? Yes
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? The motivation is clear and honest. David Chaum ‘s involvement really makes xx network stand out as a promising project. Privacy is also a big concern of mine, therefore I would like to support projects that protect our meta data.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? Not anymore.
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? Yes many in Toronto
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. Whatever role is asked of me...if I’m able to contribute.
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Distributed network consensus is not managed by a single entity as opposed to a centralized network, it still has consensus managing hubs that can be potential points of failure. While a decentralized network each node is equal and independent and the consensus is managed by peers. My preference is decentralized. However, both have their merits and cons.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The focus on anonymity and integrity, Quantum resistance, David Chaum’s involvement (The Godfather of cryptography).
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy s/b the protection of the individual’s data and their freedom. It’s a basic right and should be preserved at all costs. In today’s world where this has forgotten and personal data is used as a manipulation tool and as merchandise, Privacy by Default is of utmost importance in order to preserve those rights and prevent abuse of power.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Quantum computers may pose a threat to cybersecurity in general, although we are safe in an immediate future, the potentiality of this technology is somewhat overwhelming. Quantum security is something that should be addressed as soon as possible in order to stay ahead of the threat, and fight this issue before it arrives and not be reactive but proactive!
