Why do you want to be a node? When I heard about this project and read the docs; I was blown away by the technology and the potential it has. This is something that is desperately needed in this world. AND I want to be a part of its growth. Aside from that I totally trust the person that recommended that I apply.
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Bulldog told us about this project in a video conference.

Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? No
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Distributed network consensus is not managed by a single entity as opposed to a centralized network, it still has consensus managing hubs that can be potential points of failure. In a decentralized network every node is equal and independent and consensus is managed by peers. I tend to lean towards decentralization, despite the inherent challenges I think it's always an option worth pursuing.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The focus on anonymity and integrity, Quantum resistance, David Chaum, a pioneer in the world of cryptography and digital currency.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy should be a protection to the individual and its freedom, it is a basic right and should be preserved at all costs. In a world where this notion is being forgotten and personal data is used as a manipulation tool and as merchandise, Privacy by Default is of utmost importance in order to preserve those rights and prevent abuse of power.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Quantum computers pose a threat to cybersecurity in general, although we are safe in an immediate future, the potentiality of this technology is overwhelming. Therefore quantum security is a topic that should be addressed as soon as possible in order to stay ahead of the threat, and fight the problem before it hits us.
