  • Ethereum (ETH, ETC, etc)
  • Other (please specify): Nkn, QKC(QuarkChain), GRT (The Graph)
What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? for ordinary people - ease of setup and launch. of course we all want more decentralization, as many projects that appear have problems with decentralization. stability of the nodes in the network and optimized p2p connection
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? for myself, I no longer see any problems. I have experience in supporting various networks and after studying the question, I realized that I have all the necessary things to run the xx network
What is the maximum upload bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 1000
What is the maximum download bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 1000
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? 98
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. 0,03
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator?` 40
In what type of environment would this server be located? Personal Home
If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). tattelecom (reserv Rostelecom)
If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it.
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? No
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? Ryzen 7 3800x, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO, G.Skill 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 MHz, Samsung 970 Evo series 500GB, MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: i also have suitable equipment to run Quanta with 4 xeon 2678 v3, but need to put a graphics card there
Why do you want to be a node? I really want to become a part of a developing project, especially since such a cool professional cryptographer David Chaum is behind it. I hope I still have time to get into the test groups and work in the future on the mainnet. I also want to get into the testnet to increase my skills and abilities. it is a colossal experience participation in a world-class project as a xx network
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Telegram
Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Twitter
  • Telegram
  • Discord
  • BetaNet Forum
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? privacy and possible scalability. It is also interesting what a network can, which, like Apple, optimizes its nodes for good equipment, as an example of using powerful graphics cards like 2070 and higher on the network. I hope there is a tough selection of equipment for participants, as these cards potentially have huge potential for the network
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? QKC
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? Blockchain Life, BLOCKCHAIN DAY, Blockchain Conference Moscow and some others
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? No
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? A decentralized network is a special case of a distributed network with additional restrictions. Bandwidth can suffer from this, but decentralized networks are more resilient and reliable. I have been supporting the ether chain for several years now and it is really a decentralized network on which large financial organizations (defi) began to develop. only thanks to the reliability of the ether it became possible. bitcoin is even more decentralized and slower, accordingly due to its early appearance, but it is more a peer-to-peer network for storing and transferring value than a platform for building other projects. we should strive for a network at least such as ether, but at the same time bring something new, at least speed up the network without sacrificing decentralization
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. as I understood correctly, there is a great emphasis on privacy. as I already wrote, if we decentralize and do not force the speed, or even increase the bandwidth, it will be an ideal blockchain.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? this issue needs no clarification, especially after the events of the last year. we all began to understand how valuable it is that we have freedom of choice (for now). but everything can change and tools for dealing with these factors will be needed. privacy is one of the main trump cards in this fight
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? I want to believe that this will not affect all systems in any way, but will only improve all technologies and accelerate the development of mankind. just as silicon developed, at some point there were such problems, but we overcame them and tamed them with other add-ons and technologies. many are simply not interested in breaking existing systems, the main thing is that such technologies do not fall into the "bad hands"
