Agree with above statements.
Applicant has the right motivation and his/her previous experience in running a Monero node suggests interest in private blockchains. I also like that this node would run in a University/Academic Institution, suggesting a research environment. In addition, as we currently do not have any nodes in China (as far as I’m aware), location is another plus.
I would support this application under the following conditions:
- Applicant clearly states the ability to upgrade bandwidth and makes a commitment to meet bandwidth specs if selected,
- Applicant makes a commitment to build/buy a node that meets HW specs, including the GPU,
- Applicant provides answers to all four questions at the end of the application form.

Quantum computers are a major threat to both the decentralized and the centralized system. With a decentralized network it is possible to decrypt private keys, which can lead to the collapse of a decentralized system.
