Specs AMD Ryzen 7 3700X for node. and VPS/lower end dedicated Ryzen will be for a gateway.
Why do you want to be a node? I heard about xx network from a good friend of mine, that is already running a node here, and he recommended to jump in while there is still a chance, seeing that there is a good opportunity to make profit.

In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? we talk about quantum for years. but for now nothing real happens. I think we are SAFU for next 10-20 years from now.

Would you only run a node for profit? and quit if rewards gets lowered

of course I would stay, when/if rewards will decrease.
I am here for a long run. That is not my main goal to make a quick profit. It’s more about being a part of a solid project.
