(Something along those lines is what I would say. Watch his video in the last email. Use some of his own words)

Why do you want to run a node in the xx network? To protect the privacy of political speech, To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations, To promote quantum secure distributed systems, To earn xx coins, To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world, To contribute to a promising project, To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies, To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy, To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? This is a semantics question, but from a purely technological standpoint, decentralized networks are “ The origins of decentralized computing originate from the work of David Chaum. In 1979 he conceived the first concept of a decentralized computer system known as Mix Network. It provided an anonymous email communications network, which decentralized the authentication of the messages in a protocol that would become the precursor to Onion Routing, the protocol of the TOR browser. Through this initial development of an anonymous communications network, David Chaum applied his Mix Network philosophy to design the world's first decentralized payment system and patented it in 1980 (Patent US4529870). Later in 1982, for his Ph.D. dissertation, he wrote about the need for decentralized computing services in the paper Computer Systems Established, Maintained, and Trusted by Mutually Suspicious Groups. He would go on to launch the world's first digital payment system in 1990 called eCash. And distributed networks are a more centralized version.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The value proposition is twofold, first, the creator David Chaum is the most experienced person in the industry by a mile. That is where the true value lies. A person who has earned their place, whereas many others are selling whitepapers before proving themselves. Ethereum is a good comparison. It is the top smart contract network but in reality, the CTO (Gavin) left and Vitalik was merely a blogger who did good research. He has references many old research papers such as Szabos “God Protocols” which are actually based on Chaums research before that. Most all research stems back to Chaum. This is where the real value is derived. And from tech perspective xx network have impressive specs like quantum-resistant, full encrypted end to end or lighting fast tx times
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy is not an option. It has to be private by default otherwise a backdoor is open for abuse. We can google and find a lot of info on this and why many people do not think Zcash is private since it has the option. All or nothing is the only way for true privacy in my opinion.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Quantum computing opens the door for bad actors to have an easy path for attacking decentralized or centralized networks. Most current, if not all crypto’s would be subject to the network being hacked through quantum computing.
