Other Reasons
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? most of the coins in the area use their own sources to maintain their network and they get very few people to make the community think that they are decentralized that they are not. Operating nodes are easy and many can do it with a nice documantation. And this should be happening for a truly decentralized networks. Otherwise, this is not Satoshi's vision.
