| What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? | The diference is there is no central authority but nothing is 100% decentralized and I thing some kind fo direction (which some call centralization) is good too. |
| As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. | If everything they advettise is true and it can succeed to avoid being crushed by US politicians and lawmakers, it could be the perfect crypto. Other crypto are slow, not always private and not quantum resistant, for sure very few have all of these at the same time. |
| Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? | Privacy is possible and it's also preferable. Since decentralized projects are difficult to stop entirely, they will succeed one day or the other, so why not make them now? |
| In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? | You mean threat (not thead) right ;)? In the near future (3 to 4 years) a quantum computer could crack the encryption currently used by bitcoin and others. But many solution already exist against that so I don't think it's the biggest threat. The biggest threat is governement power who can kill projects in the egg like they did for Facebook Libra and Telegram Gram. The majority of global centralized organization see quantum computing as a major security threat but I think it's bit overfeared. But it's like for pandemic, it's better to be prepared and if you prepare and we know how, it is easily avoided. But we could have say the same for a virus like the coronavirus and we all know how it went... So we better prepare right now. |
