The application is empty, then I vote “no”
Hello!
I tried to fill out the questionnaire completely, I do not understand why it was empty. in any case, I will add additional answers:
-
the difference between decentralized and distributed networks is that there is no single control center in decentralized networks, every part of the network participates in the adoption of the network’s consensus. in the case of a distributed network, fault tolerance is increased but a single control center can coexist. The ideal is the synergy of the two.
-
The main thing that I pay attention on the the xx network that it is a brilliant tool for realizing David Chaum’s vision of a free Internet devoid of control from corporations and governments, and most importantly - where the privacy of private data is not an empty phrase, but is guaranteed by the architecture of the network.
-
Most corporations and governments want not only to collect data on what the user do online and communicates with, but also to actively trade this collected data, which leads not only to the likelihood of various illegal actions against the user, but also direct threats to his life. Therefore, “privacy by default” is the only way to protect yourself from this, not only in the future, but also in the present.
-
The development of quantum computers will soon lead to a breakdown of algorithms that are not quantum-resistant, which in turn can lead to the collapse of not only the modern financial world, but also the Internet itself. the only way to protect against this is by developing quantum-resistant algorithms. I will add a clarification: the hardware on which, if the community allows, the xx node will be placed in the data center on the colocation. the hardware has already been purchased and is working. data center with guaranteed power supply and several Internet connections, which will allow my node to have high uptime.
Thank you for paying attention to my application.
If you plan to colocate yout HW with GPU, my vote is YES for sure.
IMO few colocated machines in datacenters will help network stability compared to home-hosted nodes.
