Why do you want to be a node? I really do like this project, its technology and approach to the selection of participants - this is the first reason. The second is the investment. I'm investing not only in my future, but also in decentralization, privacy, and David Chaum's ideas. The third is gaining new experiences, acquaintances, and challenges.

  • BetaNet Forum
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? Future decentralized applications and smart contracts. So far there is only xx messenger and it has already impressed me, I can't even imagine what will happen next. I was also interested in sample voting.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? Nym, Solana and Aleo
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? No
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? A decentralized network distributes work among multiple nodes instead of relying on a single central server. A decentralized network offers many advantages over a more traditional centralized network, including increased system reliability, scale and privacy, anonymity and accessibility. One of the most important advantages of a decentralized network is the fact that there is no real single point of failure. A distributed network differs only in the fact that there you can choose how it is managed. It can be decentralized (in which case it is no different from a decentralized network) and centralized (in which case it has the disadvantages of centralization).
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The xx quantum secure blockchain protects all information and data from manipulation and tracking. xx network performance can support consumer volume dApps that require high speed and secure transaction support. By combining end-to-end encryption with cMix metadata shredding technology, xx network offers unprecedented anonymity between and among parties who use the network.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Manipulation of other people's data by selling it and stealing it is one of the biggest problems of the Internet right now. To solve this problem we need privacy by default. This will store data in such a way that only the user will have access to it.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Centralized networks have a single point of failure, so it is easy for a quantum computer to break into such a network and reveal all the data. Decentralized and distributed networks will be much more difficult to cope with. However, even there you can find flaws, if there is such a desire, and errors and use the computing power of a quantum computer to hack every node.
