What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? I was learning how to work with an environment like Docker. I find it very convenient and multifunctional. I had a pleasant experience with networks that also use it. That's why I would like to see the possibility to work with it here as well.
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? None

In what type of environment would this server be located? Personal Home
If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Strato

Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? No
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? RAM - 32GB, Storage - Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus (2TB), GPU - RTX 2070, CPU - Ryzen 5 5600H
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: No
Why do you want to be a node? I love the field of cryptocurrencies and think it's a great discovery for mankind.
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Word of Mouth
Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • BetaNet Forum

As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Distribution networks simply expand the number of nodes. While decentralization is a completely new approach to the management and allocation of network resources.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. Other blockchains have no solution to the problem of personal privacy and data retention. Even if there are such ideas, the technology to implement them does not seem particularly robust. The same is not true for the method of "destroying" metadata before someone has a chance to read/steal it.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? The level of privacy determines the level of trust users have in the platform, the network, and so on. And trust has a huge impact on the development and future of each platform. However, all developers should give importance to privacy not only for this reason. Any disregard for privacy is a crime against ethics, freedom, and integrity.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? I think that could be a problem in the future because quantum computing is stronger than the security of even decentralized networks. Without quantum resistance we can't manage.

    All if fine :+1:
If you want to host gateway and node on the same server think to a second nvme drive even if you have enough capacity for not share IO between both databases or better use another computer for gateway.

Looks good. You have my support.

    good application have my vote

I read somewhere that the gateway can be placed in a datacenter. I, of course, have not yet decided exactly how it would be better. Thank you for your comment

    You have mt vote

I have not yet the exact reply yes you can for have another public IP and not expose your node on the same public IP.
After the main goal of this network is decentralization so not good if everyone put his gateway inside the same datacenter if this datacenter have an issue all gateway are down. Team not give a clear reply about that for the moment wait your approbation and the key after look what they decide here or on discord channel :+1:

Yes, I agree. Datacenter is not the best idea, but we’ll see what the final decision from the team is

    Nice application

Looks really good. My vote yes

Good involvement in the selection process. You can see that you have studied the project. I vote
