| Why do you want to be a node? | We follow the project and David Chaum for a long time and after our invest last year we have now enough time to be a bigger part of the network and run a node. We hope to learn even more about the technical aspect and be a better support in upcoming discussions. |

| What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? | The biggest part is the idea of privacy and anonymity. The founding thought of the internet was the idea to create a private place where you can speak, share, and get information no matter who or where you are. But in the last years this idea and its democratic opportunities is used less. We hope that projects like the xxNetwork helps people all around the world to get their rights and value as individual. |

If so, which ones? | No, but some of us have participant in crypto project that was based on David Chaum ideas. And now we believe in his greatest project, the xxnetwork. This will be a milestone in the internet revolution for our freedom. |

| As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. | We are not the social media guys, but in the past we already founded and were part of some interesting discussion groups. So because, we work closely with the university environment it would be nice if we sensitize more people for this topic and can start a community here too. |

| What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? | In a decentralized network every node should be equal and have same rights. In a distributed network it is more like a centralized network, you have some node which are controlled by at least one organisation and can determine other nodes. There is now black or white and both system have their advantages you can appreciate, but specially for crypto, freedom and the xx network technology we prefer decentralized networks more. There is not the risk of power concentration or the manipulation by a minority. So we need more decentralized networks and structure to guarantee the democracy, it the only way. |
| As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. | In our opinion a lot of the blockchain solutions these days are just pushed because of the bitcoinhype and the value increase. So we didn’t support project like Bitcoin active. But we see a bigger usage behind the xx network and that it can be more than just another coin. We think the xx network can solve real and important problems we have today and come up in the future. We have not encountered a network which fits our idea of privacy as well as the xxNetwork. |
| Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? | For us privacy is an important factor for creativity, opinion formation and should be a right for everybody. We think that was the first sense of the internet and we should go some steps back to that. We know the power and usage which data can have, and we think everybody should decide by himself what to do with that. For that, we need equivalent offers for standard usages and we believe the xxNetwork brings us closer to that goal. |
| In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? | As already mentioned often here, quantum computers can be a danger for some standard crypto keys. But we are quite sure there will be/already are solutions. We are more excited about the problems we can solve with these computers and the opportunities they bring us. We do not know so much about quantum de-/centralized systems and are not sure how to compare them in short sentences. But we think due to the properties of quantum it will take a few years till we see some bigger quantum-based networks. We hope we can learn more about this topic here and have some interesting discussions with you. Thank you for the opportunity to be a bigger part of the community and thank you for the help. Among other things, the CIPA is located in Saarbrücken Home.
The ways are short and we have good contacts there. I think it is the intention of the community here to encourage scientific work as well and spread the discussion more.
