For which networks have you ever operated a node? |
|
What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? | Because I understand that XX network has built a network that can protect users' privacy from the bottom, so I really want to know whether it can really achieve this goal, which is what I value and am interested in |
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? | I can solve any problem |
What is the maximum upload bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? | 1000 |
What is the maximum download bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? | 1000 |
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? | 91 |
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. | Estimated $7-9 |
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator?` | 90 |
In what type of environment would this server be located? | Personal Home |
If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). | China Mobile |
If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it. Nodes will not be allowed to run on Hetzner. If you do, you will not receive compensation. | I won't do that |
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? | I have invested and deployed Chia mine in the data center |
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? | Modern High-End Consumer grade CPU (8 physical/16 logical cores)● 32GB RAM●1TB SSD storage● Mid-Range modern GPU with 32-bit Mul Units (Example: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or RTX 3060Ti)●100Mbps internet connection |
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: | NO |
Why do you want to be a node? | I learned that XX network aims to build a new generation network that can protect the privacy and security of users and resist the threat of quantum computing in the future. When I know this news, I am very excited, because many networks have said that they can solve these problems before, but they all have no problems. I personally pay great attention to privacy. If I can become one of the nodes, I will be able to further understand XX network, and maybe give some suggestions to solve the problem, and if XX network can really achieve the goal, I will spare no effort to promote it |
How did you originally hear about the xx network? | |
Which current xx network communities are you a member of? |
|
Are you an active member of those communities? | Yes |
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? | How to protect user privacy |
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? | cofix |
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? | I have basically attended all the blockchain conferences in China, such as the Shanghai blockchain conference |
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience: |
|
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. | I do |
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? | Yes |
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network |
|
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? | In the decentralized network, people can have more privacy and power, and the ownership of data belongs to individuals. The data of centralized network belongs to institutions or organizations. People on decentralized networks have the same voting rights. And decentralized network nodes are independent operation and common maintenance, so I am optimistic about decentralized network |
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. | XX network aims to build a new generation network which can protect the privacy of users and resist the threat of quantum computing in the future |
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? | Privacy should be owned and controlled by everyone. At present, this problem can not be realized in the centralized network, only in the decentralized network. The ultimate goal of XX network is this |
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? | The centralized system does not always use the public private encryption system, so the quantum computer has little influence on it. The decentralized system basically uses this system, so it is easy to be cracked by the quantum computer. We have to find a decentralized system to protect our digital assets before quantum computers come |
