  • Twitter
  • Telegram
  • Discord
  • BetaNet Forum
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? For me, the XX Network is an absolute reinvention of the blockchain environment, so I am amazed at every little detail here. What particularly appeals to me is the possibility of quantum resistance in the network.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? Solana, NYM, Axelar, Moonbeam, Aleo
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? No
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Decentralized networks are protected against someone wanting to take control unilaterally. It's is possible because each node decides for itself and no one can do it for it. This is also where consensus protocol plays an essential role and cannot be violated or changed.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. In general, the value proposition of the XX Network is standard. I've seen this kind of thing a lot. The difference, of course, is in the approach. I cannot claim that this network is ideal, as I have not used it. However, in the early stages of development and just in the documentation you can see how the developers have avoided the mistakes that other platforms make. There are many inconsistencies in other blockchains that prevent the main goal of decentralization from being achieved. In xx network, every component of the network is built to support decentralization.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? We live in a world of large and powerful corporations and companies that can use users' data for their benefit at any time. More often than not, it is a question of money. Data is so valuable that absolutely everyone wants to buy it up. If you own the data, you have a certain power over who owns it rightfully. So ensuring privacy by default is the main mission of the Internet.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? No computer can match a quantum computer in terms of computing power. Anything that can compute quickly is dangerous for decentralization.
