Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? I like decentralized networks more, which is why I am excited about blockchains. Decentralized systems are very powerful because they have access to a massive amount of computing power due to various machines on the network. There is no government or entity has control over it.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The xx network team's mission is to build a truly decentralized network, where everyone is equal. Digging deeper, David Chaum is trying to change the internet altogether and free it from centralization by big tech companies. This makes sense, because such consolidation of power is detrimental to the internet and to people.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Personal data should only be under the control of those users to whom it rightfully belongs. This gives a sense of security and peace of mind, as well as a certain level of trust. All of this will attract new investment in the Internet, which will help its further development.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? The advent of quantum computers will encourage developers to improve security mechanisms, so we need not worry about.
