  • Ethereum (ETH, ETC, etc)
  • Other (please specify): Mina, Solana, Avalance
What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? Improved communication with the team, improved scalability and stability. Also, implementation of great monitoring tools
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? Any setbacks, as soon as I heard about the project I wanted to get involved.
What is the maximum upload bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 420
What is the maximum download bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 300
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? 100
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. "1kW/h cost 0,06 USD, machine need 0,9 kw/h. Cost per day = 24hour * 0,9 * 0,06 = $1,29 Cost per month = 1,29 * 30 = $38,77"
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator?` 90
In what type of environment would this server be located? Personal Home
If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Delta-Net
If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it. Nodes will not be allowed to run on Hetzner. If you do, you will not receive compensation.
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? I was deploying servers at the datacenter.
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? Intel Core i7-9700K, 8 CPU; 1TB SSD PCI; GeForce RTX 2070 (8GB, GDDR5X), 32 GB RAM DDR4 2666 mhz, GigaByte Z390 UD
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below:
Why do you want to be a node? I’m a blockchain enthusiast. I like running and configuring different nodes. I am improving my technical skills in this way.
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Twitter
Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Twitter
  • Telegram
  • Discord
  • BetaNet Forum
Are you an active member of those communities? Yes
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? xx network platform interested me because its creators want to provide usable privacy. Many existing decentralized networks have failed to deliver on this promise. Therefore, this problem is still valid. Why do I believe David? I saw from him a clear concept of a secure digital space. Besides, he was able to explain very clearly why he is doing this.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? I am active in the Solana and Mina comunities. I am the Moderator of the Dropstech community in Discord
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? BlockchainUA
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Decentralized network means that there no single decision point. There isn't node that instructs other nodes what to do. While in distributed networks the decisions can be centralized, i.e. one node instructs other nodes what to do. Good example of distributed network is the internet itself.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. David Chaum promises his users that there won't be the possibility to consolidate power in this network. I hope he will indeed succeed in making this happen. After all, even in the best projects, such a problem arises, which makes the original concept of decentralization get lost.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy is a human right. Frequently this right is violated in real life. We cannot do anything about it because we don't have enough power. The Internet is a free platform, so here we can influence such things more effectively. If in the future the whole Internet will be under someone's control, people won't have a safe place anymore.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? I suppose quantum computers will not pose a threat to decentralized systems in the near future. Quantum computers make us change our basic cryptography ideas but I think it will be a different time.

Thanks, ready to be a part of the great network!

I successfully launched the node and decided to order an additional ISP for stable working
