  • To protect the privacy of political speech
  • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
  • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
  • To earn xx coins
  • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
  • To contribute to a promising project

  • Other (please specify): make the world a better place
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? A distributed system is a network of stand-alone computers that are connected using distribution middleware. They leverage resources and capabilities to provide users with a single, integrated, coherent network. A decentralized system is one that requires several parties to make their own independent decisions "In such a decentralized system, there is no single centralized body making decisions on behalf of all parties.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. Defending against the potential impact of quantum computing on the cryptoindustry is the xx network's most important advantage. Quantum computing is developing, the largest companies already have their own prototypes of quantum computers, some mathematical problems through quantum computing are already being solved many orders of magnitude faster than classical methods. If this threat is not eliminated, the meaning in any blockchain projects will be lost.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Because confidentiality is, in my opinion, one of the most important individual rights. This is the right of the trampled down modern system of statehood.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Solving a hash for a Bitcoin block - starting with a large number of zeros - is extremely computationally intensive. This is why, even with the combined processing power of all computers on the bitcoin network, it takes approximately 7 minutes (2019) to solve a block. Quantum computing can get to the point where a single computation can solve a block with a very high degree of probability, and even if the probability is not 100%, just a few enumerations will allow it to be done.
