Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
      • To protect the privacy of political speech
      • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
      • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
      • To earn xx coins
      • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
      • To contribute to a promising project
      • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
      • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
      • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
      • Other (please specify): To reverse the monopolisation of power on the internet.
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? I believe that meritocracy should be the principle for allowing some to take decisions for others as long as the some are chosen in an aleatory manner. Decentralized means that the responsibility of power falls on many changing and rarely the same points while distributed networks have a more structured and centralized authority. In a distributed model some malevolent force my corrupt or overtake the decisional apparatus while in a decentralized system that is extremely improbable.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. Current blockchain solutions have different problems, by example XRP, a highly centralized case where a company and it's associates have all the decisional power, then we have bitcoin, a gold 2.0 way to store value it doesn't bring the true networking effects to the table as it's not as transferable as other currencies, XLM does not have the proper audience reach as the Bitcoin and again it fails. The Xx network platform offers both future (quantum) proof encryption, speed of transactions, impossibility of a middle man attack, decentralized decision taking , and the most important in my opinion a clear users first approach to a business model.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? As Jaron Lanier wrote in the Who owns the future, the discrepancy between simple humans and the big companies grows, we are headed towards a techno oligarchy where the few (companies, states or people) will have a too great power other the many hasnots, and it isn't just about the money as much as about liberty in all it's aspects and having the right to live a private, free of authoritarian repercussions for what one thinks or communicates is essential for the future us.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? For decentralized systems the threat is minimized thanks to the aleatory manner in which the nodes are chosen. The threat of mining faster that any other mining rig and thus imposing the blockchain records onto other nodes.
