For which networks have you ever operated a node?
  • Other (please specify): Coda (Mina)
What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? I would like nodes to have more server-side manageability. The part form community is preparation of a node with an initial setup and then mostly team get all things done in terms of receiving a feedback.
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? None so far. Just a matter of time to prepare a node.
What is the maximum upload bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 1000
What is the maximum download bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 1000
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? 100
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. 0.087
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator?` 80
In what type of environment would this server be located? Datacenter
If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). -
If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it. HostKey
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? Few years back I had a Minecraft server hosting as a co-founder. We had approximately 30 dedicated servers in a peak at Hezner. I also have collocation experience in times of my past job routine.
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? AMD Ryzen 9 3900X / 16 Gb RAM / 1Tb SSD / NVIDIA RTX3080
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: -
Why do you want to be a node? It's exciting to be a part of a team who builds valuable product for the peoples' future.
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Influencer Vlog
Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Telegram
  • Discord
Are you an active member of those communities? Yes
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? The main interest is quantum security and it will be solved and provided. Realizing transnational corporations and authoritative governments would have quantum computers frightens.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? Coda (Mina)
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? Just local meetups with blockchains and exchanges teams like Binance meetup in Moscow
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
  • Other: Only managing groups whithin main job activities
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? No
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
  • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
  • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
  • To earn xx coins
  • To contribute to a promising project
  • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
  • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? While distributed networks are just specific kind of network which are spread across the Globe to provide swift and fast connections, they do can belong to one person/company/institute/government and thus you can be banned or kicked by the will of the owner. Decentralized networks based on principles and if you are compliant with them no will of one individual or company can affect you in any way. And we are here to provide functionality of such kind of networks. The more nodes will be in a network the more sturdy and strong it would be.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. Besides conventional blockchains' features, xx provides secure messaging as a part of Elixxir network and quantum security as a part of Praxxis consensus.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Tech industry is swallowed by transnational tech giants like Google and Facebook. There is no privacy now as you are followed and monitored almost 24x7. Today's methods of encryption could be useless ones they got quantum technologies. xx seems like an answer to this threat.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? My assumption is that with quantum technology passwords lose their power as even hardest of them could be decrypted quite easily. So it could be said for private keys of today's blockchains.

If all technical requirements for the node are met (including the bandwidth), you are welcome.

Hello everyone,

This is my application. I didn’t receive an email but just found it from the list. If you have any questions please ask me.

To be specific about hardware: disk will be Samsung 570 Pro or 580 Pro NVme. GPU card would be most likely from Gigabyte Technology.

Just verified with support stuff that specs will be as described:

  • AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
  • 16 Gb DDR4 RAM
  • 1Tb NVMe Samsung 570 Pro
  • Gigabyte RTX3080

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8GHz (12 cores) / 32 Gb DDR4 / 480Gb NVMe SSD / RTX 3080
Costs 370 a month at HostKey (1TB NVMe even more). I’m sorry but I find it hard to believe. In only 1 year you can buy 2 times these specs in hardware. I would only believe this if I saw a paid invoice for the one year contract.

Good hardware, I support it!
