Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
  • To protect the privacy of political speech
  • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
  • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
  • To earn xx coins
  • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
  • To contribute to a promising project
  • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
  • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Decentralized networks are about each node making its own decision vs. a single entity receiving/responding. The net effect is that the network cannot be controlled, and the system's outcome is an aggregate of the decisions of the individual nodes. Distributed nodes apply a consensus approach or protocol to agree on the same values, transactions, commands, etc. The thought of decentralization is appealing, however, with decentralization there remain some hurdles or disadvantages - distributed environments can solve some of the issues that decentralized environments encounter, but they too have their issues and disadvantages as well.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. Far too many platforms offer the proposition of XX Network, but are in fact not what they say and are centralized at their core. XX aims to solve many of these issues by keeping our data secure & private.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy by Default should be the bare minimum. The proliferation of Internet use and the various means to access it be it games/apps/etc require personal information to be used to validate oneself. We now exist in a world where Facebook/Google/Apple essentially control the "validation" of one's identity, yet they are the same ones that seek to exploit that identify for their own private corporate profits. Additionally to that is the profliferation of personal data on servers across the Internet that is next to impossible to keep completely secure, and it's like we are headed for a Big Brother state. One should be able to Opt-In as required vs. being forced to Opt-Out if at all possible.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? The little I know about the detailed workings of quantum is that with their processing power, nothing presently would be secure without a counter balance to keep information private & safe.

My vote. Good luck !

Good understanding of why this platform is needed. Great ISP speeds as well. Has my vote.

looks great. The quality of exhibitors and equipment is increasing day by day. If I have the right to vote, I have a vote.
I did not elaborate in the questionnaire but my hardware is great and I am determined to improve it further. 5000 mb available now. download and upload bandwidth
please rate me too
