Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
      • To protect the privacy of political speech
      • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
      • To earn xx coins
      • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
      • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
      • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? While in a distributed network consensus is not managed by a single entity as opposed to a centralized network, it still has consensus managing hubs that can be potential points of failure. In a decentralized network every node is equal and independent and consensus is managed by peers. I tend to lean towards decentralization, despite the inherent challenges I think it's always an option worth pursuing.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The focus on anonymity and integrity, Quantum resistance, David Chaum, a pioneer in the world of cryptography and digital currency
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy is a protection to the individual and its freedom, it is a basic right and should be preserved at all costs. In a world where this notion is being forgotten and personal data is used as a manipulation tool and as merchandise, Privacy by Default is of utmost importance in order to preserve those rights and prevent abuse of power.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Quantum computers pose a threat to cybersecurity in general, although we are safe in an immediate future, the potentiality of this technology is overwhelming. Therefore quantum security is a topic that should be addressed as soon as possible in order to stay ahead of the threat, and fight the problem before it hits us.

      Please clarify HW if selected.

Yep. More hardware details would be nice…
      Internet looks ok… Upvote.

Strong application. I support this application if applicant makes a clear commitment to build a node that fully meets the specs, including the GPU.

A plus will be if you already research the server parts you would be buying and post these here.

You seem eager to join and committed to buy the HW, so you have my support !

      Hey there! Applicant here.

      @Bulldog @MotoSharky @Marc

Regarding the hardware, I was using the requirements as a reference for what setup to buy, thus was thinking of something along the lines of:
      AMD Ryzen 5 3600x
      GeForce RTX 2070
16 GB DDR4, with slots to upgrade
      Samsung 970 EVO PLUS

Thank you guys and @TGV for your feedback.
