Could you upgrade your upload speed to meet the minimum requirements?

Does the Dell Pro laptop come with a GPU option? Would you be able to run a full spec node with it?

Not without additional income to offset the additional cost to me from my internet service provider. But I will contact them to see how much it would cost for 100 mbps uploads.

I talked to my ISP. My upload speed will have to remain 10 mbps.

It’s not a gaming laptop. It has an Intel UHD 620 integrated in the main processor.
Is that good enough?

No!

This application has been pre-selected, but I think it shouldn’t make it to the final list. 10 mbps upload speed is clearly insufficient and the applicant is clearly stating that he won’t be able/willing to upgrade it. Similarly for the necessary hardware. @Arte

@Bob, there are monthly token incentives. Although it’s true that they won’t be tradable any time soon, they are precisely intended to offset this kind of costs. Could you reconsider your unwillingness to upgrade your connection/hardware?

It’s not me, it’s the internet speeds. Even with a commercial/business account they max out at 35 mbps upload speed. I’m just a person, not a business.

Ok, I see, sorry about that. Not sure about 35 mbps, but there have been some recent instances of nodes initially operating with 10mbps upload and they could hardly process any round successfully, they were timing out round after round until they upgraded their connection.

I am of the same opinion unfortunately.
Although its admirable that you want to run a node and are trying your best to get the best connection possible the 10mbps limit seems, regrettably, short of a useful connection speed.

Unless the team can work some magic that enables the data to be transferred as well over a slower connection (something that would help us all out) I can’t see this be a viable application. Sorry.

If I can’t get a good enough internet connection and/or my laptop doesn’t have a powerful enough GPU to run a node may I at least get an opportunity to obtain some XX Coins (and a secure wallet for them)? I’m probably not the only one who supports the project, wants to participate, but cannot due to circumstances beyond my control.

I should be considered for other ways to participate.

There may be another coin sale, follow the news.

Which news where? Can I subscribe for updates?
I never heard about the last one (and I’m into cryptocurrencies).

Check here, there have been an initial sale, an exclusive node sale and a couple of referral sales. From what I’ve read in the Telegram channel it seems that the latest referral sale has been extended a few days, but I’m not sure.

It doesn’t seem possible to send private messages here, but in case you were interested in trying the referral sale you could join discord and send me one with your email address, and I’ll refer you to [email protected] (I don’t get anything from this, btw).
