For which networks have you ever operated a node?
  • Other (please specify): Mina Network, Solana Network, Swarm, Moonbeam, and Polkadot
What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? To make them more reliable and performant. In other projects, I often encountered the problem that the node would often crash, even though my harware level was high.
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? Potentially, of course, there could be some problems with running a node. However, I am prepared to overcome any difficulties
What is the maximum upload bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 400
What is the maximum download bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 320
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? 95
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. 35 USD per month
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator?` 93
In what type of environment would this server be located? Personal Home
If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). DataGroup
If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it. Nodes will not be allowed to run on Hetzner. If you do, you will not receive compensation.
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? No
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? RTX 2070, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, RAM64, Samsung 970 PRO SSD 1TB – M.2 NVMe, Gigabyte SSD 240GB
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: No
Why do you want to be a node? I believe that operating a node is the most significant contribution to any decentralized system.
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Word of Mouth
Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Twitter
  • Discord
  • BetaNet Forum
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? I am fascinated by David Chaum's vision and concept. The words about "dossier society" particularly caught my attention. The xx Network platform will make a huge contribution to the internet of the future, where no such dossier will exist.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? Mina Network, Solana Network, Swarm, Moonbeam.
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? No
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? At first glance, decentralized and distributed networks seem similar because data is distributed across multiple nodes. The difference lies in their name. Decentralized networks don't have a single center from which performs control. Distributed networks have a main central computer or the main node which manages the others.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. xx network is a high-quality decentralized platform. Its value proposition is to meaningfully solve problems that other blockchains and networks have. For this purpose, the platform has such technologies as Elixxir and Praxxis.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Because I see the internet of the future as space where everyone is equal. Users will have personal choice, personal responsibility, and a sense of freedom. And, of course, without complete privacy, this will be difficult to achieve. As soon as your data is under someone else's control, you become a hostage.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? It is a difficult question because I don't know much about quantum physics. As far as I know, a real quantum computer still doesn't exist.

You RTX 2070 needs to be a super or higher.

Yes that’s my only objection too. If he is willing to commit to getting a better card for production use, I’d support this application.

    RTX 3070 will be good?

3070 will definitely do the job. You now have my vote.

Nice to see your commitment. Has my vote

    Gets my vote.

Definitely will work. You have my support

    I like it, I vote.

I like! the card for the future can be more powerful, as long as this is normal :+1:t2:

I like your experience in other networks and you have good hardware. Give you my vote

    well done

    No, RTX2070 is sufficient

    My mistake…you are correct!
