What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? Nothing
What is the maximum upload bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 300
What is the maximum download bandwidth in megabits per second your node can provide? 180
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? 95

Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Twitter
  • Discord
  • BetaNet Forum
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? Creating coins that rely upon one-time-use hash-based signatures. Each blockchain creates its own unique cryptocurrency. But in essence, all these coins differ from each other only in name, which is not the case with this project's cryptocurrency.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? Solana, Chia, Swarm
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? No
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? No
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect the privacy of political speech
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To earn xx coins
    • To help build David Chaum's vision of a decentralized world
    • To contribute to a promising project
    • To undo the centralization of the internet by big tech companies
    • To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
    • To reverse the political centralization of legal, police, and military organizations which favor the wealthy and powerful
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? In distributed network nodes distribute work to sub-nodes. This is how the nodes that have more power and are more senior than the others are singled out. In decentralized network nodes are only connected to peers. All nodes are equal.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The xx network will probably be the only blockchain that cannot be attacked by quantum computing. All other projects have no such protection and are at risk.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? If we allow someone to own our data, let alone with the freedom to use it, they will eventually control our entire lives. Every step we take. Every breath. There will be a real degradation. Our only way forward is democracy and freedom.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? A quantum computer is a very powerful machine. In theory, it can process all possible states simultaneously. And it seems to me that its computing power would definitely be enough to damage a decentralised system

    AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x?
On Cinebench R15 has score 1569(3600) and 1640(3600x)ā€¦ 1750 neededā€¦but i think that can pass
App is OK and rest of hardware good.
@Keith what do you think abaou CPU?

I generally base it on Passmark. 15500 required.

    I have Ryzen 5 3600

3070 is a crazy video card, I am sorry to give it, but if I am chosen as a validator, I am ready to give it for the Node. Iā€™m playing not to much for games I have the old one Radeon RX570 for small games only :grinning:

    thanks for your supporting

    have my support !
