        No…answer the questions.

Did you lose interest halfway through filling the application in?

Hey, no I didn’t lose interest through filling the application, I’m pretty sure that I filled the whole thing.

In what type of environment would this server be located? At home as I have a pretty good fiber connexion.

If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Free SAS

If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it. Nodes will not be allowed to run on Hetzner. If you do, you will not receive compensation. NA

Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? Sadly no, only at home.

Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? I’m willing to buy the sufficient hardware but getting a GPU can be a bit tricky those days.

Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: NA

Why do you want to be a node? Running nodes/validators is a hobby for me, I love it. I’ve started in 2017 with the beta version of Storj and now I run quite a few. Notion – The all-in-one workspace for your notes, tasks, wikis, and databases.

How did you originally hear about the xx network? A friend on discord told me about the project.

Which current xx network communities are you a member of? NA

Are you an active member of those communities? NA

What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? I love partipating in new blockchain platforms, I’m specifically interested on the quantum secure hash-based cryptography side of this project, I think It will be important in the future to have cryptos quantum resistant.

Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? I’m pretty active in Akash network, Mina protocol
        and Bitsong community.

Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? Sadly no.

Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience: I’ve done some translation work for the Mina Protocol wiki.

As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. Yes I would love to do that in my native langage.

Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Sure.

Why do you want to run a node in the xx network As I said before I really like the quantum resistant aspect of this blockchain, none of the others validators that I’m running have this feature.

What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? For me a distributed network isn’t ideal because the decisions of such networks will always be centralized. Decentralized networks on the other hand are fully decentralized but are still young. So I’m a fan of decentralized networks but I dont think that we are here yet.

As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. I like the quantum resistant and privacy aspect of this project. I’ve always been a fan of privacy chain but I’m still waiting for one with alot of features like smart contracts for example.

Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Censoring is more and more prevalent those days. And for this reason, I think privacy by default will be critical for the future of the internet and society.

In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? I don’t think quantum computers are a threat for decentralized systems yet but better be safe than sorry and be quantum resistant from day one. As for centralized systems its the same issue, alot of things could be decrypted.

Okay, this is better, I support your application.

How much of your current bandwidth is used by other stuff you run at home?
Can you reserve bandwidth for different internal IPs (Storj and XX network nodes, for example)?

The nodes that I have at home doesn’t really use much of my bandwidth so I dont have to do QoS right now. Here is a pic fiy.

Minimun is 100Mbps download 100Mbps upload…with gateway that must be higher…
Please update your hardware when you buy or when you decide what will you buy.
If you will run node and gateway on same computer then you need two SSD.
For node SSD 1TB 4th gen with 500000/500000 IOPS(write/read) - like Samsung 970 EVO PLUS or similar
        For gateway minimal 240GB SSD

Dont worry my internet connexion is strong I literally have fiber.

And for the hardware if I’m accepted as a node I will probably build a machine based on ryzen with a rtx 3070 with 2 nvme in raid 0
