If your server is located in your personal home, please specify the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
If your server is located in a Datacenter, please specify the name of the company hosting it.
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? for personal projects, servers for simple apps that I have built.
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications? 6-core 3GHz intel core i5, 16GB 2666MHz DDR4, 256GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: I have provided the hardware above, I would be happy to upgrade to meet any specs that you are not happy with.
Why do you want to be a node? I value privacy and security, especially online, I believe these are part of our basic human rights, your project ticks all the boxes for me in terms of these values, I want to see it succeed and contributing by running a node would be a privilege
How did you originally hear about the xx network? my own research
Which current xx network communities are you a member of?
  • Discord
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? As mentioned privacy and security, maintaining it for the average person online, I believe the xx network is the project that ticks these boxes while maintaining usability for the average person
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? no
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? no
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? How much content on a monthly basis? happy to create node setup& on-boarding reviews and review on node operations on medium weekly
Would you be interested in helping to lead the development of the next xx network community? Yes
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network
    • To protect private personal communication around health and lifestyle issues from mass surveillance and abuse by centralized organizations
    • To promote quantum secure distributed systems
    • To contribute to a promising project
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Decentralized - no single point where the decision is made, Distributed - the processing is shared across multiple nodes, however decisions may still be centralized. I am 80% towards decentralization
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. Privacy, security, quantum proof hash, performance, scalability
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? It is a basic human right!
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? The more decentralized the system, the better you mitigate the risk, we also don't know the capabilities of the quantum computers and how available they will become, in 50years will we each have a hand held quantum computer? we do what we can to mitigate the risk now! Your goal is privacy by default then you are one of the few who have protected your users!

Core i5 seem light compare to 2700x 8 cores/16 threads and can you add a dedicated Nvidia graphic card 2070 or more ?

Specs can be found on page 3-4 of Beta Node Handbook

Would love to get more nodes in AU but I don’t want you caught off guard regarding specs.

    Require to meet HW specs.

    Please clarify HW specs.
