What kind of improvements would you like to see in xx network nodes vs. previous nodes you have supported? 1) easy to run a node 2) secure and fast 3) decentralized
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an xx network node? nothing will stop me
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? 99
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. 0,19
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator?` 30
In what type of environment would this server be located? Datacenter
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? Yes (please describe), Intel Xeon E5-2690v4, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, GTX 1060
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published xx network BetaNet Node specifications (found here)? No
Specs
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: no
Why do you want to be a node? I want to be part of the comunity and have a chance to get into the mainnet when bete-test will finish.
How did you originally hear about the xx network? Telegram
Which current xx network communities are you a member of? Telegram, Discord
What specifically, interests you about the xx network platform? I was interested by the non-standart approach of xx network platform of the development, I have read the beta-node handbook and like how you managing auto-updates of the nodes without engaging the operators every time.
Outside of xx network communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? No
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? No
Do you have past experience managing communities or creating content to be distributed across social media? Please enter details for all with which you are comfortable or have experience:
As part of growing the xx network community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an xx network BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
Why do you want to run a node in the xx network? To earn xx coins, To contribute to a promising project, To help build true digital cash to fuel a decentralized economy
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? As I undestand, the decentalized network consist of many nodes within the networks as an independent system contributing to a pool of computing resources. A distributed network is a combination of small centralized networks that are interconnected and controlled by a central node but that can work independently from one another. I prefer a decentralized networks.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the xx network platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. XX network is online platform that allows you to communicate and exchange value without revealing information about your activity
Privacy by Default is a goal of the xx network Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? Privacy is a default goal because many organisations at the internet are collecting and selling a data of user's activity without their consent.
In your opinion, what threat, if any, do quantum computers pose toward decentralized systems? What about centralized systems? Quantum computers could solve complex calculations which could not be performed on the normal computers for a reasonable time. But at the same time it's mean that quantum computers could decrypt secured data which could not be broken by standart calculations. Thats why a new quantum-secure cyphers are needed.
