Hetzner hosting?
I’ve been using contabo and hetzner so far. Will this be a problem?
Is this 40 hours? I think I actually replied 8 hours/month.
The actually idea is to invest in this project. Not to hire a spot in a datacentre where it is mostly cpu.
Is it possible to buy a computer and place it in your house?
my only limitation here would be bandwidth…
Why bandwith? If you are planning to go to a datacenter, then the bandwith is no issue,right?
At home I have 200 Mbps down, and way less up. Sometimes it’s way slower than that. I think it wouldn’t be suitable to run a node right from my home.
Centralization. CPU-only nodes running in over-represented datacenters (such as Hetzner) are now being disabled and asked to make changes to continue operating, see here. Could you confirm that you could run a node with the required GPU? I’d consider that a necessary requirement to be selected.

buying a new GPU-enabled server is not a problem though. Is there a pre-built server you can suggest?
Based on your location and the cost to run in a data center; Is there a reason you wont upgrade your home bandwidth and run from there?
Just as an update here. I’ve been successfully running my server from home since December.
