| Why do you want to be a node? | I am interested in blockchain technology and various crypto projects. I would like to participate in the launch as I see an extremely interesting and ambitious Project. So I can help the development of the project from a technical and quite possible marketing side. For me, this is an opportunity to grow, learn something new and make some money. |

| What specifically, interests you about the Elixxir platform? | I am interested in a new paradigm in determining the right of ownership - not owning a wallet with a pair of private and public keys, but the idea that a person directly owns the right to dispose with his “key” each of his coins separately. This is a much higher level of privacy, which is also achieved due to the technology of mixing transactions, but the main thing is security (you cannot steal the whole wallet at once) and the stability of the network as a whole. Also note that I like the new mechanism of consensus in which to compute a new block in the network, groups of several nodes are generated, that work on precomputations before processing the transactions themselves. Of course, this places a heavy load on the nodes, but it solves the problem of the speed of the entire network as a whole. |

Decentralized means that there is no single point where the decision is made. Every node makes a decision for it’s own behaviour and the resulting system behaviour is the aggregate response. Distributed means that the processing is shared across multiple nodes. Also distribution refers to differences of location. |
