What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? | Decentralized networks should be public and broad networks with many participants and transparent governance. Distributed networks are shared networks that can be purpose built with varying rules for participation as a user or node. Distributed networks are better suited for federations of companies or entities seeking to share specific transactions or data. They can publish occasionally to Decentralized networks as needed. Both are valuable. Decentralized more for currency and monetary transactions, distributed for other use cases. |
