What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an Elixxir node? In this test phase the potential mandatory usage of powerful GPU

As part of growing the Elixxir community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an Elixxir BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. No
If yes, how much content on a monthly basis?
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? Decentralization relates to the control aspect, if there is a single entity or a small group that has the power to make decision, then it's a centralized system. Distribution refers to the location where the data and the processing capabilities are located. Both are important aspects for the security and the scalability of a blockchain.
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the Elixxir platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. The promises are to deliver speed, scalability and privacy, currently missing (at least all together) in many other blockchain solutions. A few ways in which Elixxir tries to achieve these goals are: - the use of a hash-based ownership mechanism instead of classic digital signatures - cooperation between nodes instead of competition - multi-party computation and mix network - transactions are not stored on the blockchain
Privacy by Default is a goal of the Elixxir Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? The freedom on the Internet is strictly related to the privacy of its users and the confidentiality of the messages and transactions exchanged on it. Exposing sensitive information to the public gives a tremendous advantage to other parties that can leverage such information to manipulate markets or for marketing purposes. Without privacy, censorship is facilitated and access to information can be restricted and controlled too.

After 3 months from the application submission I can add that running on cloud will be also a viable possibility, if it’ll be better suited for the final node requirements. The GPU requirement is not a setback anymore.

Couldn’t agree more on the need for privacy

If you are the Alex Dupre that I met many years ago at the Hackmeeting you’ll have my vote. Very deep knowledge together with high attention to the privacy, hard to find nowadays.

Too generous, I’m not sure to remember you, though, but I guess we are going OT.
