I installed the messenger on my phone (still running) and would like to transfer the account to my new phone.
I don’t find any recovering options for old account in the setup process.
Did I overlook it somehow?

I think the feature may not yet be available.
Looking at the recent development commits, it seems they’re working on that feature now.
If you wait until next release, I think the feature should be included. Just don’t remove the app until then if you want to keep the identity.
